Job Announcement: Fish Culturist(s), Neets Bay Hatchery, near Ketchikan (Seasonal)

Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (SSRAA) is recruiting for one 9-month and two 5-
month full-time seasonal fish culturist(s) at the Neets Bay Hatchery a remote hatchery located
approximately 30 air miles from Ketchikan, Alaska. The Neets Bay Hatchery program includes
approximately 140 million chum salmon and 3.5 million coho salmon. This position requires living on
site in a furnished bunkhouse. Provided benefits include but are not limited to: weekly mail and supply
flights, satellite internet, satellite tv, and groceries. Work consists of fish culture and basic maintenance
duties at the hatchery.

The ideal candidate has the ability to develop healthy working relationships with co-workers and
have a willingness to learn and share knowledge and skills. Previous experience is preferred but
SSRAA will train the right applicant. The job requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50lbs
or more repeatedly, work in inclement weather, and inside around cold running water.

Pay is $17.41/hr to $20.50/hr, DOE. SSRAA is an equal opportunity employer.
