Nominations for both elected and appointed director positions in 2025 for the board cycle beginning
January 1, 2026.
Elected Seats:
The Board of Directors of the Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association, Inc. seeks
nominations for the following three (3) year seats:
(1) Seine
(1) Gillnet
(2) Power Troll

Nominations must be in writing and include the permit holder’s name, address, vessel name, phone
number and a brief statement. Nominees must be “active” Southern Southeast Commercial Salmon
permit holders. Permit holders should nominate persons from their own gear groups.

Appointed Seats:

2025 is also a year the appointed seats are up for nomination to determine who will serve on the 2026-
2027 board. A request for nominations for the appointed seats will be broadly advertised later in the
summer, but SSRAA will accept early nominations from interested parties including current incumbents.
The final decision on who will fill those seats is up to the elected gear seats currently on the Board. This
year the decision will be at the October board meeting, seating those appointed members effective
January 1, 2026. SSRAA is asking those interested in serving on the SSRAA Board for any of the
appointed chairs as follows: Chamber of Commerce, Municipal, Native Corporation, Processor, Public at
Large (2), Sportfish Organization, and Subsistence to submit nominations in writing and include: name,
address. Email, phone number, and a brief statement.
