13 Feb Job Announcement: Lead Maintenance Technicians, Ketchikan, AK (Permanent)
The Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (SSRAA) has openings for two Lead
Maintenance Technicians with the Facilities and Infrastructure Department. Position is based in
Ketchikan, AK.
SSRAA operates seven hatcheries and several remote release sites within southern Southeast Alaska.
This position requires travel by boat and small aircraft. Desired skills include knowledge of construction
techniques including: carpentry, welding, plumbing, basic electrical, maintaining preventative
maintenance records, use of hand and power tools, and project planning. In addition to maintenance
responsibilities, this position may, on occasion, assist with various fish culture activities and will be
expected to perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to develop healthy working relationships with vendors,
contractors, co-workers, other SSRAA departments, and have the willingness to share knowledge and
skills. The ability to obtain an Alaska Driver’s License is required and all applicants will undergo a
background check.
Wage range is $23.39 – $31.71/hr DOE, plus benefits. SSRAA is an equal opportunity
